Samuel Adams Boston Lager
Back in 1984, Jim Koch told his father that he wanted to rekindle the family's brewing tradition. So his father Charles went up into the attic and sifted through the family's recipes, picked out his favorite, and then gave it to his son. After Jim brewed this beer and tried it for the first time he knew that this was the beer he was going to introduce to the world. This was the birth of one of my favorite beers, Samuel Adams Boston Lager
When you first poor this fine beer you notice a wonderful clear amber color and a wonderfull thick head. The flavor is rich with a wonderful mild malty sweatness provided by the two-row pale and caramel malts, followed by a perfect linguering hoppieness.
Now let me tell you something about the importance of a hops blend. It can quite simply MAKE OR BREAK a beer!!!!! Now with that said, I have to tell you that the hops used in this beer is some of the very finest!!! Genuine German Noble verieties of Hallertau, Mittelfruh, and Tettnanger imported from the finest growers in Europe.
I have to say that this is a must try beer!!! With the malty sweetness, the floral, spicy-citrusy aroma given by the fine hops blend, and a 4.9% abv this beer is perfect for any occasion!!!
I hope you enjoy this beer as much as I do. Oh, and of course as always I left you the link to their website below so check it out. So until next time, enjoy.
